48 hours

48 hours.  No I am not talking about a new edition of the tv series 24 or a new news program - I am talking about the last 48 hours preparing for the Presbyterian Church's 220 General Assembly.  Some people have sexy jobs like moderator, commissioner, delegates.  They get to vote or lead the assembly.  But who prepares the table?  Who gets ready for the 5000+ Presbyterians and guests descending on Pittsburgh, PA? Never wondered about that?  Me neither until I wanted to come to GA without having to pay for my travel or food while attending.  I am a recent seminary graduate by the way.  Budgets are tight!

So here I am in Pittsburgh, PA serving as a student assistant doing that thing that I didn't really know about.  How does the table get set?

So what does a student assistant do exactly? At this point I am still learning so there will be more to come.  Thus far I have set the papers down for incoming commissioners, given water bottles out, poured water into the baptismal font, learned how to do level IT-1,
